The unit is powered by 2 x AA batteries (not included) and it boasts a long battery life in wait-case or standby mode for over 50 hours. Also there is also a self-checking function which automatically compensates any change in battery capacity or ambient temperature. . Indicates pair integrity of the cable, measure the length of cable/pair with or without far-end recognizer. Locates wiring or connection error.
